Virat Kohli may have been firing on all cylinders in the ongoing Asia Cup 2016 tournament, but still he was taken by surprise when his former girlfriend Anushka Sharma gave him a phone call after India’s win over their arch rivals Pakistan. It must be mentioned that the reports of the separation of the two young love birds surfaced right before the start of the Asia Cup T20 2016 tournament in Bangladesh, and a lot has been written about it since then. While neither of Kohli or Anushka have said anything about this in public, but it was due to the Indian cricketer un-following the Bollywood actress on the photo-blogging website Instagram
According to India Times, a source has informed that Anushka called up Kohli after India slammed Pakistan by 5 wickets in their Asia Cup T20 2016 tournament, in which the right-handed batsman made a crucial 49 off 51 balls. The source said, “Anushka called to congratulate Virat after his brilliant performance on field during the India versus Pakistan match.”
The report added that Kohli has been trying really hard to set things all right with Anushka. The reason for their separation was the fact that Kohli wanted to get married and settle down, but Anushka was not ready for it. The Bollywood actress has been shooting with Salman Khan for their upcoming film ‘Sultan’, and the work for this began only sometime back. The shooting dates clashed with a holiday that Kohli had planned for Anushka, and this is where it all started.
